Integrative Massage

This unique modality was developed at Boulder College of Massage Therapy with influences from Wilhelm Reich. Creative integrating strokes are used to assist clients to become more embodied and self-aware of sensations, breath, and energy, thus allowing for change in opening the body from holding patterns along with creating a greater sense of self as a human spirit.

Swedish Massage

A highly respected form of therapeutic massage using various strokes (i.e. effleurage, which means "to flow", petrissage, which means to “mash or knead”, friction, tapotement, rocking, or compression) to stimulate the circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, muscular, digestive and nervous systems. Also serves as a reminder to the body of it’s own healing capabilities.

Reflexology

Facilitates healing in the body by the concept that reflex points in the feet mirror areas in the body. The body parts can be affected by stimulating the appropriate reflex areas.

Deep Tissue Massage

Employs more direct pressure on deeper layers of musculature and fascia (connective tissue). Deeper pressure is used to connect to the layers of muscle. A greenstone deep tissue tool may be used as well.
